Cellular Shades

Roll-down metal exterior cellular shades are often used as protection against storms and/or vandalism. While metal provide protection against these hazards, they don’t provide much of a barrier against air infiltration and heat in the mini blinds.

Residential Treatment Programs

Some Residential drug rehab treatment programs can also be very effective, especially for those with more severe problems. For example, drug rehab therapeutic communities (TCs) are highly structured programs in which patients remain at a residence, typically for 6 to 12 months. Patients in TCs may include those with relatively long histories of drug addiction, involvement in serious criminal activities, and seriously impaired social functioning. TCs are now also being designed to accommodate the needs of women who are pregnant or have children. The focus of the TC is on the re-socialization of the patient to a drug-free, crime-free lifestyle.

Interior Blinds

Interior storm window cellular shades consist of flexible (like polyethylene) or rigid plastic. Rigid plastic are typically mounted using Velcro, magnetic, or snap-in seals. You can easily install the flexible type in mini blinds frames using snap-in retainer seals or double-faced tape. Despite their ease of installation, interior cell shades are usually not as clear as their rigid counterparts. Flexible blinds may also wrinkle or sag after installation.

Summer Shading

Like window blinds, louvered cell shades work best for summer shading. Movable or fixed mini blinds allow ventilation and natural daylight to enter a room while blocking some direct radiation. However, they won’t provide much insulation against heat loss in the winter.
